Internship in review

Above are some pictures from just a few of the amazing things I experienced throughout my internship. Whether it was being on set for a video shoot, working Derek Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation dinner, visiting Mars in Hackettstown, or even just a normal day in the office I learned so much and made incredible memories. I cannot thank Hybrid Interactive enough for this experience! 

Lights, Camera, Action!

This past Wednesday I had the opportunity to be on set as we shot 5 short training videos for Exsens, a French cosmetic company. My job on set was to generally just make sure the what the Exsens rep was saying on camera matched up with the scripts we had. The past few weeks we have been doing tons of prep work for this day so I am extremely happy everything went smooth and came out successful.

This week I got to take part in editing the script for the Exsens shoot we have coming up next Wednesday. Part of my task was to make sure the script as a whole had a natural flow to it and to also to break apart the script for when we need to change the on screen graphics. Here is an example of how an on screen graphic will be set up.

In preparation for out video shoot at the end of this month we needed to create a storyboard for the client to choose from. This was one of the 2 (and the one she picked) that she thought fit best with her message and concept.

Turn 2

I got to a little of my creative senses going as I had to help add some features on this email blast that is going out to all previous Turn 2 Dinner attendees. My job was to compare this to other "special offer" email blasts that have been sent out for other companies and see what we could add to help relay the message better. Although the dinner isn't for a few more months, the sooner you promote, the greater the outcome.

Print, Package, Ship

Monday I took a little fieldtrip to a printing factory to pick up a project of ours. This company prints majority of our work as well as many cut-outs for companies like Crest and Duracell that you would see in stores such as Walgreens. I got to see how all the machines functioned, how they cut such large quantities and how each type of printer prints a certain way. After spending some time there I have to give those places a lot of credit, it sure doesn't look easy.

Week of 3/6

This week was full of tons of new learning experiences. It started off by me updating our monthly calendar because March is officially here and we have a decent amount of projects going on in the office. Along with our calendar I had a very busy week of research. We are now going to be setting up a website and possibly helping out with social media promotions for a project (that can't yet be revealed sorry) and it was my job to find the right approach. Also, in about 2 weeks we are going to be doing a video shoot in our office for a new client and I am lucky enough to be able to be on set at the shoot!

After months of hard work the TRIAD magazine is finally here!

DPhiE! DPhiE!

As the release of the Triad Centennial magazine is approaching for DPhiE, one of my assignments this week was to think of designs for phone backgrounds and Facebook/Twitter headers to promote the new magazine. I came up with about 8 different ideas and they will be put to use within the next few weeks as the magazine is out there. I'll share the final products when they are finalized!

LinkedIn 2/16

Today I had the assignment of gathering information about LinkedIn for a future seminar being done by Hybrid Interactive. The goal of my research was to take note of all of the key features needed to have a successful profile, so they can be later transformed into a PowerPoint presentation. Due to my lack of knowledge of this website, I found this extremely interesting and beneficial for my possible future use.

Monthly Calendar

A few months ago I was asked by my mentors to come up with a way to join both their calendars and their project sheets so I came up with this.My solution was to utilize the white board they had in their office and create a color coordinated calendar that showed what days what projects have to be worked on. This system has been very beneficial due to the fact that it is easier to see the month as a whole and to spread out the time between projects each day.

TRIAD is almost here! 1/27/17

After months of watching and taking part of the production of a magazine, it is so nice to see that it is almost officially done! One of my instructions this week was to look through all 80 pages and double check for any formatting errors. Now that everything is all finalized we should be ready to receive final copies of the magazine within the next month!

Who is Hybrid Interactive?

Hybrid Interactive is a woman owned creative marketing company who executes the customer's visions through graphic design, video production, and interactive development. They work with companies such as MARS Corporation, Verizon, Turn 2 Foundation, and Delta Phi Epsilon International Sorority. Earlier in my internship I had the opportunity to help with a video for their website which you can check out at the company's website.
